Poster Tiling Printer

Small sheets.
Big possibilities.

Turn a photo, classroom visual or event poster into a larger print. Set a real-world width, print the numbered pages, then trim and join them.

5–200 cm (50–2,000 mm). Height follows the original aspect ratio and must stay within 1–300 cm. No automatic resizing or cropping. Transparent pixels are flattened onto white. Unit switches preserve physical width; preview measurements are rounded for display.

Page labels always remain visible. Guides and labels sit outside the artwork. Trim white borders only; align the repeated artwork in adjacent panels.

The grid uses the same millimeter geometry as the PDFs. Outlined rectangles show each printed artwork tile, including smaller final tiles. Preview labels are an overlay, not part of your image.

Ready for your printer?

One PDF for each included image, plus manifest.json. Up to 25 pages per poster and 40 pages total. Each image also has its own PDF download below its preview.

From one picture to a whole wall

01

Set the size you actually want

All included posters share the chosen width. Each keeps its own aspect ratio. Check the calculated height and effective PPI; enlarging a small image will not add detail.

02

Check the last row and column

The last tiles may contain less artwork. Their unused area stays white. Compare the grid with the row and column labels before printing; nothing is stretched to fill a page.

03

Test, print, trim, join

Measure the calibration bars first. Print the PDFs at actual size, trim only white borders and align the repeated image areas. Use the same paper and print settings throughout.

A few practical details

Can I print a large poster on a normal printer?

Yes. This tool divides a single image into A4 or Letter tiles. Print those PDF pages and join them to make the complete image at the width you entered. Your printer must support the selected paper and margins.

How do width, height and inches work?

Width is shared by all included images. You can enter centimeters, millimeters or inches; changing units preserves the same physical width. Height is calculated from each source image’s aspect ratio. Invalid sizes block export instead of silently resizing the image.

What is the difference between margin and overlap?

Margin reserves white space around each sheet. Overlap repeats part of the image on neighboring sheets to help alignment. Trim guides sit outside the artwork and indicate its edges, not a strip of artwork to remove. With 0 mm overlap, panels meet edge to edge.

Why is the last tile smaller?

A poster rarely divides evenly into printable pages. The final row or column contains only the remaining artwork. Its PDF page keeps the selected paper size, with extra white space after the image.

Will the print be sharp and the size exact?

Effective PPI tells you how many source pixels fit in an inch at the finished size. Low PPI can look soft up close. The PDF uses physical units, but printer settings and hardware can change the result; check the 100 mm calibration sheet with a ruler. There is no guarantee of printer accuracy or color matching.

What happens to rejected files and cancelled work?

Every rejected file stays visible with a reason. Explicitly exclude it or clear the batch before downloading a batch ZIP. Cancelling or changing files/settings invalidates old work; native decoding or encoding may finish internally before the next operation starts. Returning with Back/Forward starts with an empty list.

What is inside the ZIP?

One multipage PDF per included poster and a manifest.json describing source filenames, included/excluded files, dimensions and tile geometry. Filenames and relative paths may reveal personal or project information. The 100 mm calibration PDF is a separate download.
