The target search may use lower quality. PNG ignores quality.
Maintains proportions, never enlarges. No automatic shrinking to meet the target.
#ffffff
JPEG cannot keep transparency. This color fills transparent areas when JPEG is selected.

Changing any setting clears old results. Encoding can change colors and remove embedded metadata; check the preview before using important images.

Every accepted image gets its own result, including failures.

The ZIP includes successful files plus a manifest covering the entire batch. Unmet targets, failures and cancellations are excluded and listed explicitly.

01 / A CLEAR LIMIT

Make the upload limit visible

Choose a target such as 200 KB for forms, listings or web assets. We test actual encoded bytes and label every image as target met or target unmet.

02 / KEEP CONTROL

Choose the trade-offs

Keep the source format and dimensions, or choose them yourself. JPEG needs a background color; PNG preserves transparency but its quality setting does not reduce file size.

03 / STAYS LOCAL

Your files stay in this tab

Image processing and ZIP creation happen in your browser. Images are not sent to a server. Clearing the batch releases its in-memory files; no image history is saved.

A few useful details

Can every image reach the target size?

No. Detail, dimensions, output format and browser encoder all matter. At fixed dimensions, even the lowest tested quality may exceed the limit. An unmet result remains clearly labeled; you can choose smaller dimensions, another format or a larger target and retry.

How is PNG compression different?

The browser canvas encoder produces lossless PNG and ignores the quality control. Re-encoding may make a PNG larger. Keep PNG when transparency or lossless pixels matter, or explicitly choose WebP/JPEG for lossy output. This is not a palette-quantization optimizer.

What is supported, and what is not?

This tool accepts JPEG, PNG and static WebP. Animated WebP and APNG, SVG, GIF, HEIC and other formats are rejected rather than silently flattened or converted. Damaged files and images exceeding the resource limits are reported individually.

Will a download preserve EXIF, orientation and colors?

Images are re-encoded through the browser canvas. EXIF orientation is applied before export; embedded metadata is generally not copied. Color profiles and appearance can change. This is not a certified metadata-sanitization tool, and originals are never overwritten.

What happens when I cancel or change settings?

Cancellation stops the queue and discards the currently encoding result if it finishes late. Already completed rows stay available after Cancel. Changing settings or adding images invalidates previous outputs so downloads cannot mix old settings with new ones.
