Your entered URLs and UTM values stay in this page. They are not saved or sent by this tool. This site uses Google Analytics for page visits.

How to build a campaign URL

  1. Paste the destination page, including any query parameters or anchor you need.
  2. Fill in source, medium and campaign. Use a preset as a starting point, or load UTM values from an existing link.
  3. Add optional values to distinguish keywords, creatives or campaign IDs. Copy the link and test the destination before sharing.

Use a shared naming convention

UTM values are case-sensitive: Email and email can appear as separate values in Analytics. Choose one style across your team. Lowercase names with underscores, such as summer_launch, are easy to maintain. Spaces and non-English text are encoded automatically.

What happens to existing UTM tags?

The six fields on this page replace matching utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content and utm_id parameters. Blank optional fields remove those tags. Other query parameters, including other UTM parameters, and the URL fragment are retained. URL encoding may be normalized; do not modify signed or expiring links unless their provider allows it. “Load UTM from URL” reads the first value when a tag is repeated.

Does this set up GA4 tracking?

No. This builder only adds campaign parameters to a link. Your destination must have Analytics configured and collect visits before campaign data appears in reports. Use these links for external campaigns; adding UTM tags to internal navigation can distort attribution. For Google Ads, follow your existing auto-tagging setup.

What should I avoid putting in a link?

Never place email addresses, phone numbers, passwords or other personal information in UTM parameters. These values are visible to recipients and can appear in browser history, server logs and analytics reports. This tool rejects URLs containing login credentials.

Why are source, medium and campaign required?

This tool requires the three fields so your campaign links have a consistent source, channel and name. The generated link follows the standard URL format and does not shorten your URL or guarantee a specific Analytics attribution result.
