The right originals. Every pick accounted for.

Client Picks Reconciler

Turn a client’s filename list into a clean handoff. Match it against your source folder, settle the exceptions, and pack only the files you reviewed.

01 / Choose your source files

Folder selection keeps relative paths. File selection keeps filenames only. Replaces the current source set after you apply it. Up to 10,000 files; contents are not read for matching.

No source files loaded

02 / Bring the client’s picks

Up to 2,000 picks. Blank lines are ignored; other whitespace is preserved. No partial-number or fuzzy matching.

CSV import is staged. Choose its delimiter and filename column explicitly before applying it. Maximum 2 MiB.

JPEGs selected here provide names only. They do not replace your source files.

03 / Choose exact matching rules

Stem matching lets DSC_0041.JPG find DSC_0041.CR3. It never matches 0041 inside another name. Applying new sources or picks, or changing rules, clears review decisions. Discarding a staged import keeps the current review.

Only same-folder, exact-stem .xmp and full-filename .xmp companions are considered. Multiple candidates require a choice or explicit exclusion. No XMP is generated.

04 / Review every request

05 / Pack the reviewed files

Resolve or explicitly exclude every missing and ambiguous request to unlock export.

When the browser permits its save picker, direct ZIP saving streams originals sequentially to disk. Detecting the API does not guarantee access. Otherwise, prepare bounded ZIP parts and download each part separately. A single file too large for a part requires direct saving.

Choose sources and paste picks, or try the demo.

Every ZIP includes the full request audit plus its own file list. Repeated requests stay in the audit; each source is packed once. CSV audit uses spreadsheet-safe text; JSON preserves exact strings.

File contents, paths and pick lists stay in this browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored by this tool. Refreshing, closing the tab or changing language clears the session.

A quieter way to finish the handoff

How do I match JPEG picks to RAW originals?

Choose your folder, paste the JPEG names, then select Exact stem and RAW / TIFF / PSD. A full stem must match: DSC_0041 matches DSC_0041.CR3, never DSC_10041.CR3. Two qualifying files are an ambiguity you must resolve.

What happens to missing and repeated requests?

Missing and ambiguous requests block export until you choose an exact candidate or exclude that request with a reason. Repeated requests remain separate audit rows and do not duplicate a packed source file. Nothing is silently dropped.

Are my originals modified?

No. The ZIP contains unchanged source bytes under safe archive paths, plus manifests. The tool does not rename files on your disk, edit metadata, decode RAW, rate images or write new XMP sidecars.

What if the same filename exists in two folders?

A bare filename may match several files. Review their full paths and sizes, or provide an exact relative path including the selected root folder as shown in the review. Selecting loose files cannot recover their original folders.

Can I export a large shoot?

Matching uses metadata only. Direct saving uses streaming ZIP output instead of buffering the whole shoot, when the browser and its policy allow the save picker. The fallback caps every ZIP part at 128 MiB and requires a separate download click. It blocks any single file that cannot fit; it never silently skips that file.

What does cancellation mean?

Cancelled or failed exports are not complete. A direct-save attempt may leave an empty or partial file on disk; remove it before retrying. A prepared part is complete only as an archive; your browser still controls whether its download is saved.

What is inside the demo?

The demo uses tiny original fixture bytes. Files ending in .CR3 are mock RAW placeholders, not real decodable camera files. Its JPEG is a tiny preview fixture. Use the demo to practice ambiguity, missing picks, repeats and XMP review, not image quality checks.
